Abstract

Relevance. Іn agricultural complex ready mixtures of pesticides – tank mixtures – are increasingly used. According to current legislation there are no requirements for toxicological and hygienic assessment of tank mixtures of pesticides and approaches for the implementation of sanitary supervision of their application.

Objective: substantiation of methodological and methodical approaches to toxicological and hygienic assessment of tank mixtures of pesticides and establishment of their limiting components for optimization of sanitary supervision and minimization of potential risk of harmful effects on the health of workers and population, and reducing the pesticide load on the environment objects.

Material and methods. Experimental evaluation of 15 tank mixtures of pesticides was carried out. Hazard evaluation of mixtures was carried out similarly to combined preparations according to toxicity indices in acute and subchronic experiments, according to state standard (DSanPiN) 8.8.1.002-98 and methodical recommendations (MR) № 4263-87.

Results. Five tank mixtures have been estimated to be hazardous compounds; 10 mixtures – moderately hazardous. Cumulative properties of mixtures in evaluating by the criterion «death of animals» are not pronounced, functional cumulation is characteristic for four mixtures, as evidenced by reduction in body weight gain. The mixtures containing preparations Aktellik or Kvadris caused anemic effect, the mixtures, which include Copper chlorine monoxide or Aktellik violated prooxidant-antioxidant balance. Three mixtures produced hepatotoxic effect, four –damaging effect on the kidneys and heart. As a result of the research there have been established criteria for determination of limiting component of pesticides tank mixtures.

Conclusion. Methodological and methodical approaches to toxicological and hygienic assessment of pesticides tank mixtures were scientifically substantiated and limiting components of these mixtures were determined, aimed at optimization of sanitary supervision of air.
