The magazine «Medical Science of Ukraine» only accepts original articles that were not previously published and were not submitted for publication in another journal.

One of the most important and binding principles of editorial policy is counteraction to plagiarism and self-planning.

Plagiarization is the disclosure of (part or all) scientific (creative) results obtained by other persons as the results of their own research (creation) and / or reproduction of published texts of other authors without specification of authorship.

Autoplatheomat (samplagiatom) is the provision in the materials of the manuscript of his previously published scientific results, as new results.

Since each manuscript is protected by copyright after its publication, the author submits to the publisher the exclusive rights to print and use it, the author can not copy his own material for the new manuscript without the permission of the copyright owner. An exception can be made when quoting the author's short phrases from his own work with posted relevant links.

The magazine «Medical Science of Ukraine» uses software to detect text borrowings in the provided manuscripts.

Plagiarism before publication

The editorial board of the magazine «Medical Science of Ukraine» analyzes any case of plagiarism in essence. If plagiarism or text borrowing is detected by editors or reviewers at any stage prior to the publication of the manuscript, the author (s) warn of the need to revise and correct the text or provide a reference to the original. If the plagiarism is more than 25%, the article may be rejected, and information about it is provided to the institution / employer of the author.

Plagiarism Validation Policy

The percentage of plagiarism is calculated by the software and evaluated by the editorial board.

Manuscripts in which plagiarism was detected are processed taking into account the volume of detected plagiarism: if the plagiarism is up to 10 to 25%, the manuscript is immediately sent to the authors for review of the content and reapplication for consideration in the new manuscript; if plagiarism is more than 25% - the manuscript is rejected without an editorial review.

Plagiarism after publication

If after the publication of the manuscript material a plagiarism was discovered, the editorial board conducts an analysis of this fact. Depending on the scale of the plagiarism, the document may also be revoked (deleted).

Recommendations for avoiding plagiarism
